Milestones in sustainable commitment
“We have succeeded in shaping and creating a company that represents a solid pillar of economic and social security in Germany, especially in our immediate surroundings”, said Otto Braun in 1978 when he looked back on his decades of successful work as head of B. Braun.
Otto Braun’s performance, and that of his family, built an international company after Julius Wilhelm Brauns ' acquisition of the Rose Pharmacy. His father Carl Braun founded a company health insurance in 1923. In 1929, a relief fund for needy employees was set up. B. Braun has a long tradition of sustainable commitment – every generation feels responsible for its employees. International expansion has brought even more responsibility.
As a corporate citizen, the company has always felt a close connection with its locations and their regions. This is why B. Braun takes responsibility and engages in the development of regional infrastructure, and is actively involved in offering children and young people long-term prospects with projects such as “B. Braun for Children”.
